Ben has been teaching sailing and seamanship for over a decade. His first job was teaching sailing in Boston Harbor in dinghies and small keelboats, and since then, his only work has been on the water. 

 

Ben raced sailboats competitively in high school in Boston and college in Florida. After graduating from the University of Miami, Ben earned his Yachtmaster at UKSA in the Isle of Wight and went on to pursue a career in yachting.

Shortly after his Yachtmaster, Ben joined a 90-meter superyacht, where he gained a strong foundation in superyacht deck maintenance and operations. Ben then went on to work on 60-meter and 50-meter charter boats as Bosun and Chief Officer. He is now an MCA-qualified Officer of the Watch and serves as Second Officer on a 75-meter superyacht.
